Yesterday's sale at NSCC meant another thirty paintings found some homes and over 300 dollars was raised!! So... I'm going to do a final tally this weekend and hopefully make arrangements to get a nice big donation over to the lovely folks at Children's Wish!! I still have about 150 paintings to sell, so I will keep trying to do that... whatever money they raise will be donated as well... but I have to draw a line somewhere! I wish I had sold them all... but who knows, there will be a great donation now thanks to all of you who have supported this project... and with luck, more paintings will get sold and I can keep donating as the money comes in. :)

BIG BIG SALE!!
Tomorrow is what I'm considering the final push. I'm taking every single painting I have left and going to school with them. Here's hoping LOTS of them get sold and I can give Children's Wish a whole whack of money! I'm so excited that this part of the project is right in front of me!! It's kind of like the big payoff for all that work.
So... if you're local (in the HRM, Nova Scotia) come on by the NSCC IT campus on Leeds St tomorrow from 8 until 12:30 and buy a painting or make a donation. I think there's even another campus group doing a bake sale for their class's charity of choice... so you could support more than one cause and have art and tasty treats. It's a win-win!

The Planets Are Gone!
The series of planet paintings were sold today!! My good friend Nikki was going to just buy Jupiter, but liked the set, and we worked it out... so her smallish person will get to look at planet paintings for a good long time. :) Yay!!
Getting closer to the NSCC sale day... this Wednesday we'll be out selling paintings... hopefully they will all go! The more we raise the more we can donate. :) I figure, if my last count was right, there are about 180 paintings left. So, if each of them goes for ten bucks (or more) then that'll add about two thousand to the tally and we'll meet my 4000 goal!! Here's hoping!!
If anyone out there is reading and you have a painting "on reserve" please do make arrangements for payment and if necessary, shipping. :) I want to have this wrapped up by the end of the month so we can donate the money!!! SO excited!!

Another NSCC Sale Day
Wednesday January 25th from 8am until 12:30pm there will be a table set up in the Crossroads area of the NSCC IT Campus and I will be there selling paintings. Hopefully, as many as I can!!
If you are local and want to come check it out please do!
I will also be at the Bridal Show with Children's Wish on Sunday of this weekend. I believe the show is on Cunard... somewhere. Guess I should have double checked that instead of hoping I'd remember!
Otherwise, if you see a painting you'd like please let me know... I really want to wrap this all up by the end of the month, do a final tally and present Children's Wish with a feel-good donation! :)

Quick Update
Hello All! Well, the selling continues... although at a slower pace...
I'm hoping to organize at least one more sale day. I'd like to sell as many remaining paintings as I can as all donations will add up!! If you've been thinking about buying one, please get in touch with me at joanne.arbuthnott@yahoo.ca
I'd love to donate the money to Children's Wish by the end of this month, or the first week of February at the latest. This has been a long-term project and I really want to help them grant some wishes as soon as possible. So, with your help, we can do that!!
I've updated the catalogue a bit, hopefully there are no errors... my apologies if I miss one or two... my scraps of paper are not the most organized filing system... but what are you going to do? It's been a little insane around here the past week or so! Good crazy, but still crazy.
Hope everyone is spreading the happy!

January Again
Well, if I asked myself a year ago if this is where I thought I would be, and all the paintings had been completed, I'm pretty sure I would have laughed at myself and said 'no way'. But, here we are... paintings are all accounted for, and fundraising is continuing!
I miss the painting, but as promised, I have a new project in the works. I've started creating a blog for it... but it's still very much a work in progress. Until then, I'm going to focus on trying to set up a bit final sale event to find homes for all the remaining paintings and then donate what I hope will be more than $4000 to Children's Wish! More than half way there now... still a ways to go. :) Very exciting!!
So... school again tomorrow... should have a bit more study time now... and here's hoping by the end of this month I can, with your help, make it so some kids can have their wishes come true!!
